Men & Make-Up: Clowning Around?

Men & Make-Up: Clowning Around?

Now, I am all for wearing whatever the fuck you want. I think that it is important to look good and feel good about yourself. But what do you think when it comes to wearing make-up? Is it wrong? Is it right? And most importantly where do you draw the line from wearing  makeup to enhance features without turning into Bozo The Clown's long lost twin?

There are TONS of products out there to "enhance" a man's face and these range from under eye concealer to powder bronzers. Most guys now think it's "cool" to wear eyeline r, so much so, that now there are brands catering to a mans need for "guy liner". Some do it right while others look like drunken raccoon whores.

Let's take a look at when guys do it right. Let's take a look at the Good.

This guy is wearing foundation and concealer. He has managed to look natural without looking too made up. The fact that he has some stubble makes his look even more believable. Maybe some guys would feel uncomfortable wearing this kind of makeup everyday but c'mon when going out for a night on the town you gotta make an effort!

Now let's take a look at the Bad. Remember that there is such a thing as TOO MUCH!

Now, these two had a bit too much fun at the M.A.C makeup counter. The guy on the left is wearing  so much blush, that it makes him look as though he's been bitch slapped by his pimp for not taking care of his "patch". His lips are too pink. They kinda remind me of moist, lubricated pussy lips (and yes, I have seen them.... in pornos!) and I know that ain't good. There is just too much going on.

The guy on the right is wearing so much make up I just don't know where to start. Let's go from bad to worse. The lips. O.k so, his lips are way too glossy. Your lips should only be this glossy only after you've given a guy a blow job in some random club bathroom. Then and ONLY then is this look acceptable. The foundation, and powder makes him look like a spooked tranny. It's a bit too thick and pale. And finally the liquid eyeliner. When you're channeling Liza Minelli and you're NOT auditioning for "Chicago" you know you've gone a tad too far.  Seriously, all it takes is just a quick look in the mirror!

And finally let's take a look at the Ugly.

This clearly has to be clown makeup. I mean there is just no way that someone could go out like this. But if this is clown makeup where the hell is the clown nose and wig? I pray this is not his idea of "enhancing" his looks. This is just wrong and should be avoided at all costs. From the eye makeup, that even the most audacious of clowns would reject, to the lips that are sooo white you don't know where his lips end and his teeth begin, this man needs makeup rehab or a 12 year old's birthday party to go to.
