i am gay and inteligent that u cant say the same abut your self ! He is a religious guy and for milenius thats the rule,u accept u there u dont u fuck off ! why u wanna change samething we cant?thats the way ,and u are a dunk and a stupid analfebet on religion. WE (u) can change law but no religion. If the Pope is able to visit then that can only be a positive thing.  Ok, so religion and it's beliefs may not be for all nowadays, but let us not forget that for many, many people his visit will provide an uplifting and rewarding link with their chosen relogion. I ain't gonna argue with that. If it works for you and enhances your life, then good for you. Let us welcome his His Holiness to our shores.

Of course he should come. There's a lot of a people in this country who depend on religion. I'm not one of them but hey, not everybody is into french knickers. Each to their own

That is the most narrow-minded thing I've read in weeks. The Church doesn't move with the times very quickly, but they will come to accept us. Don't forget England has barely done away with homophobia. The Church is a *very* old institution and it isn't quick to jump on something simply because everyone else has.

I've met several priests, and I know for a fact that they don't turn people away simply because they are gay. They might not approve, but it's because they care. They won't tell you off.

In any case, I asked a Catholic priest if you can go to hell for being gay. He said no. I guarantee anyone who asks the same answer!

Please stick to posting trivial stuff: you clearly are unable to deal with matters such as religion in a mature and sensible way. There's an awful lot of swearing and name-calling; I'm pleased you're not one of the spokespeople for the secular movement in the UK, instead that of a trashy gay website.

Most gay people would have the decency to address the issues in a respectful manner - your style of writing and opinion certainly does not reflect that of our 'community' or secularists in general.

I'm sure you will grow out of it, and realise that you can only expect to be respected if you yourself are respectful of others, even if you heartedly disagree with them.
