We all know that when it comes to uploading pictures on to Facebook, you gotta be EXTRA careful cos anyone now, can report the pictures as "inappropriate" and you will soon find yourself with a warning and a possible profile suspension.
But, when are pictures too hot for Facebook? Well, they say that any picture that: contains nudity, or any kind of graphic or sexually suggestive content, are not permitted on Facebook. Well, how about a kiss? A kiss between 2 men? Is this sexually suggestive? Well, apparently it is.
US writer Niall O’Conghaile used an image of a gay kiss from the soap "EastEnders" to accompany his blog about the "gay-kiss-in" last Friday in support of the gay couple that got kicked out of The John Snow pub. Then, the editor of the Dangerous Minds blog, Richard Metzger, where the news story was published, posted the story on Facebook. He soon received a warning from site administrators about the image. Stating that it was removed because it was graphic and/or sexually suggestive.
Richard Metzger has now written Facebook to ask why the image was removed but so far no word from Facebook. I will be keeping a close eye on this story cos the same thing happened to me and I asked for the "Facebook Admin team" to give me a reason or at least the picture I had uploaded that was considered inappropriate but they never got back to me!
So, do you think the picture was offensive or sexually suggestive? Should Facebook relax or are they just trying to keep the site as "clean" as possible? You decide!
UPDATE!
Facebook has now said SORRY and released this statement: "The photo in question does not violate our Statement of Rights & Responsibilities and was removed in error. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Hundreds posted the picture as their profile pic to complain about the removal and it seems as though Facebook took action! Good on them!

This certainly has not been the week of good news for us gays. This is yet another example of how homophobia is still alive and kicking even in London's Soho area.
Wednesday night, 26 yr old Jonathan Williams and his partner were on a date at the John Snow pub in Soho. They were both asked to leave the pub after the couple had kissed, oh no! Heaven forbid two men kissing in Soho! How scandalous!
After arguing, the man who had originally asked the two men to stop kissing took Jonathan by the collar and attempted to throw him out, but a third person (who claimed to be a plainclothes police officer) talked him down.
Johnanthan tried to get the manager's name but he was refused any names. Him and his partner both left furious and he plans on going back to the pub getting names and writing a letter of complaint to the head office.

This is just so ridiculous! I can not believe that a pub in soho (gay or not) would throw gays out for harmless public display of affection! EVERYONE would be in a fucking uproar if some pub kicked out an Asian, Muslim or black couple, why the hell are things like this still happening? This is truly sickening but sadly it will not be the last time a couple gets thrown out cos of their sexuality unless we take a stand and tell people we are not gonna take it anymore!
Hopefully Jonathan will get an apology and some sort of compensation for having to go through this kind of shit. I think, this will not be the last we hear of this story.
Over to you now... what would you have done if this had happened to you? How would react if you found yourself in this kind of situation? Did Jonathan and his partner act accordingly or should they have done something else? Let us hear it!

UPDATE: There has been a demonstration organized a "Gay Kiss-In" at the John snow pub in Soho tomorrow!

I really don't know how some columnists have jobs with some of the shit they write. Today, we have a shit spewing columnist from the Daily Star, Joe Mott with a comment that I had to read twice to actually believe that it was printed by the newspaper.
Last Sunday this idiot made a remark about Ricky Gervais' recent weightloss writing the following: "not being bad but if Ricky Gervais was homosexual, you'd be wondering if he was, you know, ill. His dramatic weight-loss has left him looking like a dying man."

How can anyone be so fucking ignorant? This is not funny and it certainly should not be printed in a newspaper for all to read. Why would anyone spread such shit all over what charities like the Terrence Higgins Trust have tried to do in terms of educating people when it comes to HIV and AIDS. Well, everyone is pissed off and are demanding for the Daily Star to apologise. No word form the newspaper as of yet.
What do you think the Daily Star should do now? Is apologising enough or should they do something bigger to show they are twats for printing such crap? You be the judge!

It was only a mter of time before Eastenders got around to marrying off the gays. My partner watches Eastenders and he has been doing so since the start of the show in 1985 and he LOVES it. I think that it just might be a British thing, cos while I do think it's funny sometimes, it reminds me too much of American soap-operas and I hated those!
One thing I will say about Eastenders is that it always manages to push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable in British society and many say that it is a true reflection of modern Britain. If that is true then times are a changing!

Things are really going to change for the two gay characters Christian Clarke (played by John Partridge) and Syed Masood (played by Marc Elliot) who are going to take the plunge and be the first same-sex couple to tie the knot on British televison. The scenes will be shown next month and of course producers have said that they are also planning for the couple to have a child by surrogate.

I think this is great. It really does put it out there for all to see that if gay people want a "normal" life then they can have one just as much as any straight couple could. Although this being Eastenders I am sure the path to civil partnership and baby-land will not be a smooth one!

So, what do you all make of this? Is Eastenders showing gays in a positive light and will this open people's minds or do you think it's just a silly, little T.V show with little cultural relevance, you be the judge!

In sport guys can be affectionate when they win, like a slap on the bum, a kiss or maybe walking hand in hand into the locker rooms, right? Well, wrong. Very wrong. The basketball team the Toronto Raptors where in the middle of a 6 game losing streak but last week their fortune turned and the team won. Good. Right? Well yes, but what happened after was not good, according to many, many basketball fans.
Leonardo Barbosa, a player who scored some 14 points during the game, took the hand of fellow teammate Reggie Evans en route to the locker room. This light-hearted gesture which meant nothing and lasted 10 seconds, if that, caused a HUGE "no-homo" backlash on the net and the clip was flooded with THOUSANDS of homophobic comments. They were so nasty and offensive that the comments section has now been disabled.
This is really sad... what the fuck are people so afraid of? These guys aren't even gay! They were just playing around and they still get verbal abuse? I can only imagine what would happen if there were players that were actually gay and showed some REAL display of affection! There is such an intense homophobic culture surrounding a lot of sports, this is why very few athletes are willing to come out!
Watch the 10 sec clip that started it all the uproar.
