Things are really starting to heat up in East London with the planned "East End Pride" event to combat recent anti-gay posters put up in the area. First, some gay rights campaigners in the area had called for the march to be cancelled, claiming that it would inflame tensions between gay people and Muslims.

Then yesterday the big news hit. One of the organizers of "East End Pride" Raymond Berry resigned after it was revealed that he had been involved with the English Defense league, their aim to oppose the spread of Islamism, Sharia law and Islamic extremism in England. Pride London claimed that they had been "misled" by Berry and released a statement saying: “The remaining members of the East End Gay Pride would like to state for the record that we do not support or condone anything that the EDL stand for.”

They went on to clear: East End Gay Pride asked our assistance to steward the event to ensure that the event remained only a pro-gay and not an anti-anything event. We believe that the bulk of the organisation remains solid in that commitment to Pride being a positive concept only. The event itself is not a front for the EDL, and the EDL remains unlinked to the event – it is just one member that has past links with the organisation.”

So, now the most important question is: Will the march take place April 2nd? Well, the parade has been backed by local police and Tower Hamlets but it is still unclear what will happen in light Raymond Berry's resignation. Do you think the march so go on? Or will this do more damage than it will do good? Yes, this is a tricky one!

Sometimes there are men you see and think: "Wow, he is hot!" There are other times when you look at a guy and think: "OMFG that is just perfection!" Well, David Costa falls under the 2nd category. Or maybe both! Jesus this fella is hot! Can I get an AMEN?

I usually don't go for the "perfect" kind of look in a guy but I think that with this dude I am willing to make an exception. I know there are a lot of guys out there that still think that sports are for heteros and that homos do not take an interest in sports cos we are too busy listening to Kylie, getting facials in some suana (pun inteded) or that we just are big sissys that scream when balls come fying at us. (again, pun intended)

Wow! This hunk is looking hot for his spread on Attitude Mag. It's none other than the 26-year-old actor and model Kelvin Fletcher who has played Andy Sugden in the  soap opera Emmerdale. I have never seen Emmerdale but after looking at these pics I think I need to start watching. i just don't like soaps very much cos I find them a tad boring and depressing.

Fletcher is really pulling out all the stops for the gays and I gotta wonder.... why? I mean he is dating Liz Marsland, who works as a fashion buyer. He said in an interview that he can't wait to get married and have children with her. Then why the cover on a fag rag? Not so sure but I guess we can always window shop even if we can't buy any of the merchandise! Have a look at the behind the scenes video of the shoot. It was only a matter of time before more people in the sports world started coming out. Gareth Thomas did it and has somehow changed people's perception of gays in sport.

Well, now it's Sweden's turn! Anton Hysen (who plays for Utsiktens BK team) revealed in an interview with Offside Magazine that he is gay. He said that his perfromance as a footballer had nothing to do with his sexuality and that it should not matter if he likes boys or girls when he's playing the game.

When discussing the fact that he’s the first high profile soccer player in Sweden to come out, he said, “It’s totally sick when you think about it. … Where the hell is everyone else?” I guess he must kinda feel lonely being the only one, for now but I don't think he'll be lonely for too long! This guy is HOT!

Hysén'a father, Glenn Hysén is was a well known soccer player who played for Liverpool in the 80s. When Hysén Junior was asked if he felt like coming out would affect his career in any way, he said, “People may call me anything they want, it will just make me even more psyched.” I like this guy's attitude and I think the more and more people see that it's really no big deal that "coming out" in sports will be a thing of the past.
